Surgical microrobotics company Medical Microinstruments (MMI), founded in 2015 and supported by international medtech investors – including Andera Partners, Panakès Partners, Fountain Healthcare Partners, and Sambatech – has just inaugurated a new 3,000-square-meter facility in Ospedaletto, Pisa.
MMI is producing the “Symani” robot, an innovative microrobotics system that allows surgeons to precisely perform suturing of small parts.
In fact, the current 90 employees are about to increase: by the end of 2022, MMi announces, 40 new people will be brought on board to satisfy the production needs expected in the coming years for the global launch of its surgical microrobotics systems.
