The RIV initiative aims to enhance innovation ecosystems at the regional level by connecting regions with various levels of development and creating networks among key sector players. The goal is to reduce innovation disparities in Europe and improve the continent’s overall performance in innovation.
The European Union will support this initiative with €116 million through the Horizon Europe European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) program and the European Regional Development Fund with the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) instrument.
