On Wednesday 6 July in Florence, a forum will be held to present and share the best practices of the Research and Innovation system applied to the AgriTech sector in Tuscany. The event comes at the end of the AgriTech project promoted by the Region of Tuscany through Invest In Tuscany, in collaboration with The European House – Ambrosetti, with the aim of deepening the enabling conditions for the development of Innovation and Research in AgriTech in Tuscany by listening to the needs and expectations of the main productive realities of the agri-food industry settled in the territory.

Thanks to the presence of a highly specialised research system in technologies applied to agriculture, to the strong regional specialisation in the agri-food sector, and to the presence of strong synergies between the world of research and the business world, Tuscany can in fact propose itself as a reference hub for experimentation and soft landing of investments in the AgriTech sphere, thus meeting the challenges of sustainability, digitalisation and circular economy in agriculture and the food processing industry.

The event intends to encourage the sharing of the main results of the project, to take stock of the state of the art and future prospects in terms of AgriTech-related innovation, and to facilitate networking and discussion between the participating companies and the players of the Tuscan Research and Innovation ecosystem. The results of the survey conducted by The European House – Ambrosetti will be discussed and the most significant and interesting research and innovation projects applied to the agri-food sector and the technologies offered by some innovative Tuscan SMEs and start-ups will be presented in two Round Tables.
