Céline, the French leading brand in the leather goods sector, presented itself today during a Partnering Day, promoted by the Region of Tuscany through its Invest in Tuscany office, together with the Fashion Technology District. The meeting, held in the Sala Pegaso, at Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati, Florence, was divided into 2 sessions: a presentation of the group followed by a b2b session, with individual meetings between the French luxury company and interested companies. Specific technical tables were held on four areas of process innovation collaboration:

  1. Noise reduction of machines – soundproofing of production areas
  2. Visual management – digitizing departmental information/production
  3. MES – production progress management control
  4. Industry 4.0 – Methods and strategies to bring business IT systems in line with current regulations

This event is part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last July between Regione Toscana and Céline, during the inauguration of the temporary plant in Radda in Chianti, the first step of the French brand to double its production presence in Tuscany (Céline has a main production plant in Strada in Chianti where it employs 250 people and is building a second production plant in Radda in Chianti where, by 2019, 250 new employees are expected).
