Florence, Nov 21, 2016. Ruffino, the historic Florentine wine brand, now owned by the US giant Constellation Brands, the first wine group in the world, continues to grow.
As reported in “Il Sole 24 Ore”, the company in Pontassieve, 10 km from Florence, which in recent years has worked to eliminate waste and increase efficiency, will end 2016 with a turnover of €103 million (up 10.7% compared to 2015).
“For years” says HR Director Mr. Emanuele Rossini “we have been double-digit growing. Wine production in 2016 will reach 25 million bottles (up from 13 million in 2011): we export more than 90% of our wine abroad, especially to US and Canada. “
The group, which has 200 employees in the manufacturing and farm sections (20 additional people hired in 2016), will continue to invest. They have already spent €800,000 renewing the systems of the bottling lines which will be functioning by the end of the year. Moreover, from 2017 to 2020, the company plans to invest €4.3 million more on additional space.
