ANNUAL MEETING OF THE EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONAL NETWORK OF THE CENTRE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISE (CDE) Florence, 1st and 2nd October 2009

The next meeting of the European Institutional Network of the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (EIN-CDE) will take place in Florence, Italy, on 1st and 2nd October 2009, at the invitation of our partner Toscana Promozione, one of the network's members.

This annual meeting, co-organised by the CDE, is traditionally an ideal occasion to review the various actions carried out within the CDE's European network and to establish more personalised relationships between the members in order to facilitate collaboration, cooperation and exchange of information. The event will also provide an opportunity to present the new Private Sector Development Programmes in the ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) countries, as well as the CDE's regionalisation, its closer links with financial institutions and the enhancement of competitiveness clusters, which are important subjects for the European network.

To be part of this network, currently composed of more than 200 European institutions which all share a common interest in creating and developing enterprises in ACP countries, is a unique opportunity to extend your contacts, initiate joint actions and benefit from the CDE's institutional ACP network, which is gradually becoming available through its CDENET site.

The meeting will be held in the historic building of the "Istituto degli Innocenti" in Florence. It will start on Thursday, 1st October at 14h00 but we will be happy to welcome you as from 12h30 with a buffet lunch, giving you an opportunity for preliminary informal contacts with other participants.
