BIO-BOOT CAMP IN TUSCANY
" Life Science Innovation-- From Vision to Commercialization". An Executive Program for Tuscan Life Science Entrepreneurs and Executives organized in Tuscany by the Agency of Economic Promotion (Toscana Promozione) and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
Designed to address the business development needs of Italy's growing life science industry, the program will be launched with an intensive three-day introductory course comprised of lectures, panel discussions, problem sets, case studies and real-time critique of business plans and presentations. The program is aimed at individuals with outstanding potential for leadership who require an increased understanding of how life science innovations can be commercialized. These include entrepreneurial executives and senior managers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.
Course Objectives:
This introductory course will provide participants with the fundamental strategies and skills that are necessary to form, launch and
operate a life science company -- especially those engaged in product development for the global healthcare market. Offered with
the discipline of a rigorous academic program, this workshop combines practical insights from a diverse faculty with industry experience
in an intimate, collaborative setting. Future offerings may include specialty courses on corporate strategy and tactics; research
and project management; intellectual property strategy and management; corporate development and partnering; finance; regulatory management; production and manufacturing; and marketing and sales.
