As reported by Toscana24 (Il Sole 24 Ore) Prada opens the doors of its new headquarter in Valvigna (close to Terranuova Bracciolini, Arezzo province) confirming the role of Tuscany as the capital of luxury leather goods, a territory in which all the major brands of the world want to come to produce: in Tuscany Prada now has 6 production plants for bags and accessories, between Arezzo, Florence and Siena, and is continuing to invest.
Designed by the Architect Guido Canali, it is a factory-garden that instills calm and tranquility thanks to the strong presence of greenery and pools of water.
The new factory in Valvigna, costing almost 70 million Euros, will be the worldwide centre of excellence for the group’s leather goods; it is the largest production plant among the 21 owned, with its 30,000 square metres of surface area and 785 employees in charge of the development and prototyping of all Prada and Miu Miu bags and accessories, raw materials warehouses, leather control laboratory, cutting, historical archives, data processing centre and offices.
