Florence – The GKN industrial group, world leader in the automotive, aeronautics and aerospace sectors, grows and strengthens its presence in Tuscany.

The company has recently announced the decision to transfer from Brunico to Tuscany an entire production line, related to double offset joints “DOJ”. The joint action of the management of the Campi Bisenzio plant, the chairmanship of Regione Toscana and the Invest in Tuscany office was decisive for this decision.

The GKN group employs more than 50.000 people in 30 countries and has a turnover around €11 billion. In Italy it is present with the Driveline Division in Brunico and Campi Bisenzio.

The main effects of this operation on the Tuscan GKN plant will be: a stabilization of turnover over the next few years, (currently it generates approximately 150 million euro); the achievement of high profitability, such as to reach “best in class” levels for the group; the consequent safety of the current jobs; the push towards a high level of automation of the plant, with consequent upward qualification of employees currently operating in the sector.
