Massa Carrara

The province of Massa Carrara lies in the north-eastern part of Tuscany and is an important gateway between the Tuscan coastline and the routes leading to the Iberian peninsula. In turn, they intersect the links with Northern Europe in the hinterland of the Po Valley. The province offers main rail and motorway infrastructures, a commercial port which is linked to the large inter-modal centre "Centro Retroportuale Apuano" and is less than 50 Km from the international airport of Pisa. The industrial tradition of this province, which is able to provide many skills and extensive human resources, revolves around the stone industry (Carrara marble), shipbuilding, engineering, mechanics and IT. Tourism, both along the coastline and inland, plays a particularly important role too.

The province of Massa-Carrara has launched a project called Invest MassaCarrara aimed at adding value to both the province itself and the local companies as well as attracting investments. This is a portal, in Italian and in English, which introduces and promotes the province and offers detailed information on existing characteristics and investment opportunities. The portal will also show the institutions and agencies as well as the people who are in a position to provide further information and support investors during the different stages of the evaluation and settlement processes.
